EIBOS - Polyphemus (80°C variant upgrade)

The EIBOS Polyphemus is a high-performance filament dryer for demanding 3D printing applications. The version offered here is not a standard 70°C model, but a manually upgraded variant that achieves a maximum drying temperature of up to 80°C.

For this upgrade, existing Polyphemus units were specifically converted to the new 80°C version. This makes the Polyphemus now also suitable for technical filaments that require higher and more stable temperatures for effective drying.

80°C Upgrade – suitable for technical materials

The manual upgrade to up to 80 °C makes the Polyphemus suitable for a variety of moisture-sensitive technical filaments, including:

• Nylon / PA (incl. PA-CF, PA-GF)
• PC
• ABS / ASA
• PETG
• other technical and composite filaments

The increased maximum temperature significantly expands the range of applications compared to classic filament dryers and noticeably improves print stability with demanding materials.

Rotating operation & even drying

The coils used in the Polyphemus can be actively rotated during operation. In combination with the active air circulation system, this ensures an even distribution of heat and humidity across the entire coil. Likewise, the released moisture is expelled through the ventilation openings, preventing condensation on the outer wall or the filament.

Especially with tightly wound or technical filaments, this is a clear advantage over static drying solutions.

Note: This device is designed for common standard coil sizes. A special 3 kg upgrade is not included.

Continuous operation for constant pressure conditions

The EIBOS Polyphemus is designed for continuous operation. Filaments can be kept at a constant temperature for extended periods, which is particularly helpful for:

The electronic temperature control ensures stable and reproducible conditions without constant readjustment.
